Processing - Sales Price Updates - Update Prices from Template Journal
The Update Prices from Template Journal is used to update sales prices from the Template Journal. Select the current version of a Template to update Resources Prices created with the previous version of the Template and add new information in the Template. The process allows users to change a Template and then update all Project price lists with that Template.
Update Sales Prices for Resources
Navigate to the Role Center and select Processing > Sales Price Updates > Update Prices from Template Journal.
Select Load Price List Updates to load Resource Sales Price records related to a Template into the Journal and loads them into the grid, based on the Template.

| Update Action | Specifies the action which will be taken during the Apply Price Updates process. Options: Add or Delete. For each line displayed in the price list that originated from the selected Template: |
| - Delete will delete the templated lines within the date range. | |
| - Add will add the new lines from the Template within the date range. |
Note
Price Lists are updated from template (all fields). This process does not affect closed Projects.
Important
If a line is added to the Sales Price Template, the Unit of Measure Code is required.

Specifies the current effective Date of this line. |
| Project No. | Specifies the Project related to this line. |
| Task Code | Specifies the Project Task related to this line. |
| Work Type Code | Specifies the Work Type related to this line. |
| Currency Code | Specifies the Currency related to this line. |
| Type | Specifies the Type for this line. Default value: Resource |
| Code | Specifies the Code related to this line and type. For example, if the Type = Resource, the Code will be the associated Resource Number. |
| Resource Group No. | Specifies the Resource Group related to this line. |
| Unit of Measure Code | Specifies the Unit of Measure related to this line (this field is required to be completed if adding a new line). |
| Profit Calculation | Specifies the Profit Calculation option. |
| Price | Specifies the Fixed Price. |
| Percentage | Specifies the Profit Percentage to use when calculating price. |
| Profit Amount | Specifies the Profit Amount to use when calculating price. |
| Chargeability | Specifies the Chargeability option. Yes = chargeable, No = non=chargeable. |
| OT Factor | Specifies the Factor to multiply price by to get the OT Price Rate. |
| OT2 Factor | Specifies the Factor to multiply price by to get the OT2 Price Rate. |
Once the new Sales Prices are entered in the grid, use the following options to run the update:
Load Price List Updates
Run the Load Price List Updates process to load Resource Sales price Records related to a Template into the Journal and update them based on the Template.

Apply Price Updates
Run to apply price updates to the Resource Price List.
Important
Filters for the Sales Price Template must exactly match the filters for Resource Prices
