    Time & Expense - Update Capacity

    Update Capacity is used to calculate the number of available hours for Resources based on Norm Time, their normal working schedule.

    You can run Update Capacity for all resources by running the process with no filter.

    To update Capacity for Resources:

    1. Navigate to the Role Center and select Processing > Time & Expense > Update Capacity, or Role Center > Resources, select a Resource to open the Resource Card > New > Update Capacity.

      Important

      If you access and run Update Capacity from the Resource dashboard with a specific Resource highlighted, the process will, by default, filter on that specific Resource. You can run it for all Resources by clearing the filter on the No. field in the Filter: Resource section of the Update Capacity page.

    2. An Options page opens.

    Field Name Description
    From Date Specify a starting date for the Update Capacity process.
    To Date Specify an ending date for the Update Capacity process.
    Total update If Total update is selected when this activity is started the system will update the Capacity on all active Resources based on their Norm Time as well as the number of periods defined under Setup > Project Setup > Project Setup > Capacity Fast Tab > Limit of Time Reg (Years).
    - If enabled, the Update Capacity process will update all Resource Capacity entries without From Date and To Date if there is any data change in Norm Time.
    - If disabled, the Update Capacity process will update all Resource Capacity entries within From Date and To Date if there is any data change in *Norm Time.
    Filter: Resource Use the filter fields to limit the scope of the Update Capacity process. Filters include:
    - No.
    - Resource Group No.
    - Employment Date
    - Termination Date
    -KPI per: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year
    Tip

    You can add additional filters on the Update Capacity process by using the +Filter action
